[For those familiar with Clinic, it can be recognized to be the backdrop for this broadcast; it's also probably easy enough to guess that Lance has just arrived there, because he's obviously drenched. It doesn't seem to bother him any, though, except for that his slightly ridiculous hair is now definitely long enough to fall into his eyes when wet, so he has to shove some of it out of the way before he can actually see the screen.

Despite being soaked he looks a little more vibrant and relaxed than usual, although in contrast his tone is quiet and sedate for the most part.]

Is the 'raining underground' thing strange even for here, or...?

[Because he hasn't been here that long and he's heard that it's snowed before, so maybe not? But the rain is totally not the point of this post, so he continues.]

But rain aside, I'd actually wanted to ask about the caves that branch off from the main cavern. I know they're supposedly difficult to navigate and filled with monsters, but have there been any coordinated efforts to explore them? And what sort of monsters exist in them?

[He does remember Maketh telling them there are paper records on some of the monsters at the Guard post, but as far as he's concerned that's really not too helpful. Besides, he'd rather hear that the general populace has to say, and talk to them individually on this.]

I'm in the caves all the time. [Which is why Gil's also at the clinic a lot.] All sorts of monsters exist in there. Mostly really weird ones. And one that I swear I saw once in a video game.

As far as exploring, I dunno if anyone's done a group thing but I haven't made any headway getting around in there. It's different every time I go in. and I can't even predict how long it'll take for me to get out. But I'm fine with that. I like the adventure.

Do the caves stay consistent while you're in them and are only different the next time you try to explore them, or do they change while you're in them?

There are these big white yet things that are pretty mean. And these little cute green things with knifes that you should really not let anywhere near you. [He definitely fell victim to Tonberry cuteness at least once.]

Oh, they change while you're in there. Turn back and the place looks totally different in no time. It's a real puzzle. I bet Confusion gets a real kick outta it.

nothing came of it. i think they found some stuff but it was all just garbage. caves changed again and they lost all their progress and i guess gave up until they went home.

No rain, as others have said. But we've had snow. Also that one time where Tranquility thought it'd be "cute" to convert the whole city into a fake beachside resort.

[Rey didn't find it very cute, though. Or fun in any way, because she doesn't know how to beachplay.]

As for the caves -- some of us have gone through them. They likely changed with every god resurrection, due to the fact that we'd been skipping planets with each one.

Monsters there are ones that have accumulated over time when a new type appears through the Door with more people. Hope just herds them away from the city do they don't bother us or some shit like that.

That makes sense. So, presumably, we should be able to catalogue what monsters are present in the caves by what monsters arrived each month.

[Will was actually in the clinic, messaging Lance because he was using him as a test to see how safe using a cellphone here. He knows Lance understands. So he'll see him with a towel, drying off his hair, which is significantly less ridiculous looking than Lance's.]

I'm sorry, what was that you said? You've gone nuts? You want to explore the tunnels filled with monsters? If those tunnels are anything like Daedalus' labyrinth I can say the answer is 'no' you don't want to do that.

[Using phones, especially when you're in the same building, is always a little weird but he's not going to discourage Will from taking the chance. So he leaves the call going, even if he just finds Will in the Clinic in order to speak to him directly.]

Do I give off some sort of impression that I'm not aware of which makes people think I'm willfully reckless?

[He doesn't sound--or look, really--annoyed, especially not at Will specifically, but it's a genuine question at this point.]

It's a cave, so it really shouldn't, but I guess there are a lot of things about this place that shouldn't be.

[And okay, he's starting to get concerned he has some sort of reputation he doesn't know about, but maybe people in the past were just really gung-ho about running off into the caves and so everyone assumes that's the plan every time they're mentioned? And sure, maybe he's asking because he was thinking about the potential, but still.]

I'm not going to go off by myself. If you have a list of the types of monsters or what they're like though, yes, I'd like to see if it you don't mind.
